UFS 922 Flashback to original software
You need a full backup of your or another original software with filelength 16515072 Bytes and a fat32-formatted USBstick
The procedure:
-unpack the two files orig_recovery_1.03.img and updatescript.sh and copy them to the folder kathrein/ufs922 on your USBstick
-if you have a personal backupfile you have to rename it to orig_recovery_1.03.img
-Power off the box
-put the USBstick to the frontconnector of the box, remove all other USBdevices
-push and hold the <rec>-button behind the cover plate of the box
-power on the box
-after approximately 2 seconds the text "[ ]/UP2/TE2/OPT" becomes visible in the Display
-now release the <rec>-button and shortly push the <stop>-button
-now for approximately 10 min.... do nothing! Wait and see
-the Display will show a few messages in that time:
flash update
loading Image...
erase wait 2 min
...
flash wait 4 min
ready to go
-you can view the process in detail if your PC is connected to the box via Hyperterminal or another program like that
-the box should now atomatically start new with the original software and bootargs
Hints:
-it is not necessary to have a connection between box and PC, but with a nullmodemcable you can view all details of the procedure
-the bootargs will normally be reset to original values. In some cases, if there are to many bootargs, the reset wont work.
-near end of the process there will be to crc32-checksums written to the terminal. Both have to be identical! Otherwise there was a problem in the flash-procedure

flash is easy:
stick with fat32 format
to create folder:
/ kathrein/ufs922
therein save the *. img and updatescript.sh
ufs922 off
stick forward purely
Switch
Record button (left button under frontusb) gedrьckhalten until something like this ... "utp2" appears in the display
then briefly stop button (right button on frontusb) press.
and reflashing
Total duration approximately 10 minutes,

anything more about this in the enclosed readme!

swapram has been disabled because of a technical error exists in ufs922.
It is therefore recommended swappart or swapfile to use (default: swapoff)
with default swapoff is no teletext, ts, record!

Just for swapfile on the media partition to create a folder named:
swap to put swapfile on, off, on, done. telnet:
Free should now show when swap not 0 more!

epg for saving to hdd there a folder: epg create and put it on usb / hdd epg save the setup!

for the record, ts, etc., as usual folder on the media partition (sda5 create):
mp3
Record
pictures
timeshift
own_movies
epg
swap
....

more infos about this gives you the var / etc / automount.ini

as the orig mediapartiton only has 10gb is little space for recording and mp3.
It is recommended the ENTIRE hdd partitonieren re using fdisk (in e2),
and format to include all newly created partitions to ext2.
fdisk is self-kan, and you can format as follows:

mkfs.ext2-L XSYS1 / dev/sda1
mkfs.ext2-L XSYS2 / dev/sda2
mkfs.ext2-L XSYS3 / dev/sda3
mkswap / dev/sda4

-L is the label name that defines how the hdd to mount by label in parts of mnt / usb appears.
they are freely chosen but must be identsich nich!

one uses ne swappart (sda4 in the example) you can then also on swappart in evo-setup ask.

shall be the timeshift hdd so new to it there as described above,
the folder, epg, record, swap .... Create

mtd aufteilung the newly revised (smaller kernel, root a little smaller,
and less for the same size as var usr added)
in the kernel are now NOT longer included but can be recharged via osd module as:
cifs, fuse, smb, ntfs (rw will not read properly but stable!)), pl2303, ftdi, usbserial, nfsd ...

will again be back to orig then this is also possible in the same way!
back_to_orig.txt as your insurance will make use of flash stick,
new updatrescript.sh. completed (just read the description in txt exactly!)
